Starving Jewelry Artist September 2008 "Harvest Moon" Design Challenge

I am very excited and honored to tell you that I won
the "Harvest Moon" September 2008 Design Challenge
hosted by Starving Jewelry Artist Website. It was my
first entry to their monthly challenge and I loved
the theme. Neil Young's "Harvest" album kept playing
in my head as I sketched out my idea and brought it
to life. Here is a photo of the piece, and here is
the link to their website. The Starving Jewelry Artist
Connection website.
The piece is constructed of a sterling silver base, with a textured brass tree cutout, a stamped copper bush, and bezel set yellow quartz. The piece is strung on indian seed beads in autumn colors of gold and copper.

Fresh Metal October 2007

My membership in the Metal Arts Guild provides me
with excellent opportunities to get my work in
front of other people's eyes. Back in October
2007, I submitted a piece for the Fresh Metal
Exhibition at the Houston Center for Contemporary
Craft. I was quite happy when my sunflower
lapel pin was chosen to be a part of the
exhibit. Afterwards, the exhibit traveled to the
Galveston Arts Center where
it continued to show through February 2008.
